Does anyone know anything about triathlon activity in Santo Domingo? Has anyone heard of any races or any teams around here?

I am living in Santo Domingo and am looking for a room to rent. Ideally it would be with a Dominican family or in a separate house on their property. Does anyone know how I would go about finding something like that? I work in Paraiso, but I would like to live in Gasque, or near Paraiso. Thanks.
