My friend' s girlfriend riped the visa page in his passport in two. You can still see the visa number and the end date. Will he be able to travel with it or will they replace it? Since a page is destroyed in his DR passport, is the passport still good? Thank you in advance.

We have applied for a visa to visit Canada. Immigration Canada has requested the original passport(I assume that this is positive). We dropped of the passports at he VAC in Santo Domingo and he sent it to Mexico for processing. Anyone know how long it takes for them to return the passports...
