Robert I thought I would let you post this to let those DR1ers who donated at the fund raiser we had in the Jolly Roger in Sosua, how grateful this Pastor, from Canada and some poor people in Haiti are. Our latest truck left with another two Pastors tonight. Thanks so much also to Patti and Kelly at the Jolly Roger that raised funds to pay for some of the diesal
It is hard work turning the trucks around fast and trying to find the supplies to fill them, as we need so much to send.
First photo, the truck filling up at Coastal, thanks to Peter for supplying the Diesal. Second photo at the Pharmacy in Chiramico buying medical supplies, third photo some of the orphaned children in Haiti eating the food we sent and wearing some of the clothes donated here. There are thousands more now of orphaned children.

ITS A MIRACLE that I am here....the power of God and PRAYER and the
generosity of so many many people in Canada and the Dominican Republic overwhelmes
me.
I wish you could all meet Barbara (Ladybird) from UK living in Sosua, DR and
her partner Amado - their kindness and caring to put the Mission Together
was a miracle...Carlo our Driver and Pastor Alex and Omar - packing the truck...the pharmacy and food store and building supply shop all coming together in 24 hours we were packed and ready for the long 10 hour journey...
It was a long restless night of great emotion...arriving in Jiami at the DR
Haitian Border and there was my dear brother Mendelson to greet me...WOW!!! we hugged and shed tears and quickly began to head to Duval..
The crumbled houses lined the quiet streets...once busy roads now had no
people...SHEET VILLAGES - yes just sheets all strung together hundreds deep
- now housing families...Mendelson said we have not slept in the housesince
the quake - we are too afraid...the people all sleep at night on the ground
away from the buildings...fear and despair is everywhere.
We unloaded the Truck at Duval School and with tears I said goodbye to
Dominicans Brothers sending them back to meet Jason & Doug who have just
arrived in the DR...the next truck will be loaded and then will make the
Journey at midnight Tuesday.
Mendelson and I loaded the small truck with food and headed for La
Grange....the most moving evening of my life...my dear haitian brothers
were waiting for me...there was no excitement this time...we embraced
oneanother and sharred many quiet tears...we sat for some time just looking
at each other and thanking God...Philippe spoke first...
" Mr Carlton you come to us, we are so touch that you come to care and love
us...tell all the people in Canada we are so touch that they care for us
now in such a time of need...Dickinson is here - Lickson comes from the
Village to find me after the Quake and he digs in my house until 7am and
pulls Dickinson out...thanks to God he is alive...I hear the noise and the
walls start to fall down in the Medical College - we all run into the
street- everywhere is falling on the people and I see my shirt all covered
in blood and then a great pain fills my body"
Dickinson lay in pain all night - he can not move the right side of his
body - Philippe and I purchased $200 worth of Pain Medication for him and
others who have been injured...all the night Philippe and I stayed with
Dickinson...
The emotional trauma is so great...last nght several children at the La
Grange Church sang songs and read scripture...all now are orphans and I
heard the stories of how they ran from their crumbling houses ad when they
turned around their parents & homes were gone.
Roger said he ran out of the Internet Cafe as it came down...in the street
everywhere buildings were falling and crushing people - I had to stop and
think which way to run next...I get home to find my house down and my
father is under the house...we have been sleeping in the street.
The Focus of La Grange will be to build a much needed Medical Clinic with
the February Project Help Mexico Team, we have 600 families in our care
that need homes, and 3000 children to feed.
I will rest at Moulin Sur Mer on Tuesday and then meet the truck Wednesday
morning and head to St Marc - into La Grange and then back to the
Dominican..
blessings, you giving and prayers are going to make the difference one life
at a time,
Carlton
