Recommendations on Restaurants in Puerto Plata

I am looking for a nice restaurant with a nice view and decent prices, either of the ocean or with a nice garden, to host a wedding of 30 people in Puerto Plata. The farthest I'm willing to travel is Playa Dorada from Puerto Plata downtown.


I looked on the internet and found the Aquacerala Garden Cafe but I haven't seen or heard of any reviews on dr1. I was also thinking about Parque Nacional Isabel de Torres, does anyone know if a weddding can be held up there? If anyone can offer any suggestions on places I would really appreciate it. Also, If you have had your wedding at a hotel can you please describe your experience along with the logistics of your wedding (i.e. how many people attended, food, etc.)

not sure if you can have a wedding on the top of the mountain but i like the idea. nice road leading to the top of the mountain has been recently fixed but you would need totally sober drivers in cars with all lights in working order to take your family members up and down.

I was thinking about having the Cable Car take everyone up and down. Is there a number to call the national park?

Has anyone gone to Escape de mar? I have driven past it a few times and it looks closed everytime...

Yes, I guess it would be the most practical thing to make it a daytime wedding. That way you could enjoy the view.

Las Palmas is a nice spot, as stated. Best food but no garden or view is Aleph, very good. Ocean World if not too far out of town for you. Casa Colonial in Playa Dorada is nice also, but $$$.

The Casa Colonial is a bit too pricey and Aleph would be cool but not a nice place to hold a wedding since there is no nice view. Las Palmas sounds interesting though.
