Hi to all

Have a question. I need some info about trading business in DR. If i'll move to DR, can I trading at any stocks? Have DR own stocks, what the volume there. How many companies give access to DR stocks, NYSE. What are the conditions of trading, leverages, company's compensation and etc

Thank you.

No real stock exchange in the DR, the only actual "trades" are in sovereign debt. There's an ex Goldman dominican lady that's been in charge of the exchange and she's been trying to bring the organisation up to decent standards ( a decent platform ) but things move slowly in the DR.
No decent local broker...

Ohh... it's very sad. Finally, I'll can trade with help of my present broker company, but the ping between Russia and DR will kill my trading.

It was good dream to trade at the own condo near the Atlantic beach

I know people who day-trade from the D.R. on Forex markets. Also there are people day-trading derivatives on markets as diverse as the US and Australia. The internet is fast enough - and with the options you really have to be able to react!!
People using automated trading systems (robots) are advised to have a VPN (virtual private network) so trades will be triggered and stop losses etc still respected when the power / internet goes down.

It can be done quite successfully from the D.R.

Is trading in Russia different to trading other markets - if not you should be fine.

All markets have individual features. The volume of russian markets not so big as US, so marketmakers need not so much money to move prices. And etc. But TA is TA at all markets.

And don't forget about stops )

I guess if the volume is tha much lower then the volatility could be higher. So you need nerves of steel.
My friend went for a pee one time and made 5K. He then took a shower an hour later and lost 12k.

Sometimes. I make my own trading system (volume, bid/ask, TA), try to reach 2-3% per day result. Such indicator will provide all my life )) After all 1% per day is 1000% per year. Difficult procent is wonderfull thing.

On my begining I lost 50% of my money in 1 day cause of 1/6 leverage and without stops. It was amaizng, I gone drink )

What is "collective2"?
My system is in building process now. One part in my computer, another in my head.
I think, that nobody will show to people the trading system that really work and get good results. Cause in such case the system will not work at future. All can not be in plus always.

Stick to platano futures and you will be just fine, at least if your system fails you will never go hungry taking delivery.

I am short the "Junes" currently.

if you are concerned about ping times just post some servers or IP and people can check it for you. i would suspect you won't have a problem

Reuters terminals are outdated...many many years ago there was a decent real time feed by Bridge but once TR bought them it went downhill...Bloomy is the benchmark for those that can afford the basic subscription at $ 1,400 a month...

To trade out of DR, best option is to open an account with SocGen Bahamas ( SG Hambros ) then have them to introduce you to Fimat.

Adrian Bye, muchas gracias!
So the ping time on one way will be about 1 sec, right? And in result 2-3 second delay? It's not good I think. Offcourse, great value have the time period of my trading. I prefer 5 min candles.

El Tigre, is your post about Market Data for me?

Ping times are not calculated form traceroutes. You do not sum up the TR results to get a sum of ping delay and round trip time.
