I am curious after reading a few threads about residency, getting the cedula and timescale of process. I see a few contradicting views and I figure this is due to a mix up between perm and temp residency.
I want to get my cedula so I can work, as far as I can see this is only possible once I have obtained a temp residency. I would like to avoid as much cost as possible and so this means going it alone without legal help. I see no reason to need this help as I have the time to be sure I am going through the correct channels.
I see no notes about the cost of this without legal help, any ideas?
Costs, time to complete, better offices to attend, clinics etc?

Tried to do it alone without speaking the language, forget about it.
Got a good lawyer in Santiago and she charged me 7000 D.P.
The best 200. U.S I ever spent, and she speaks good English.

How long did this take?
Also was that the price A/I, bloods, Xray etc?

No, that was her fee only for the paperwork. I think 200 was quite cheap for the time and effort she put in.
I have received several pm's asking for her contact number here in Santiago and have given it to them, 4 to date. I contacted her yesterday and so far no one has called her. Go figure.....
