Question About Duty Free - Liquor Store @ EWR

After going through security there are two duty free stores at terminal C in Newark. One in the far left concourse and one in the far right concourse. (none in the center concourse). The duty free shops are open when ever there are international flights going out. Keep in mind there is also a duty free store at Las Americas airport in SDQ in the hall way leading into the immigration area.

The duty free shops open at 6am. Be there when they open as you are probably on the Continental 7:15am flight which just gives you enough time to make your purchase. As mentioned above there is a duty free at SDQ where you pick up your luggage. If you miss the EWR duty free you can shop at SDQ while you wait for your luggage.

On your return flight there is a very small duty free in the terminal A area of SDQ with cheaper prices than Duffy. Liquor and smokes are usually $5 cheaper.
