I am interested to know about the documentation procedures to send sea container cargo. I want to do it myself rather than going through broker. Can anyone who knows about the customs procedures help me in this regard?

Use a broker or they may very well eat you alive.

Or at the very least they might delay things until your bottom line is hurting real bad.

It is far easier and cheaper to have someone on the inside.

Let a pro do the work for you

This is not a DIY type of personal enrichment that you learn by doing. You need an agent to act on your behalf to protect your interests. The agent and associates will perform document preparation and coordinate all other necessary steps with transport services and government agencies to safely clear the way for the container from origin to destination.

It is cheaper to have a pro do the work for you.
