What happened to the new look for the forums?

Is it still in the plans? Have they been discarded?

I thought by this time the new template would be in place. :classic:

Time and fixing bugs.

The main problem was getting the search to function properly and
index all the old posts. That's now been fixed :)

The new forum is coming soon, with a bunch up upgrades etc.

We will be rolling out some premium forums and some nice new features.

Will there be a way to block out Sanky nonsense as a premium feature?

I would be more than happy to pay to avoid reading about Two Ton Tess and her love affair with Elvis the animation team leader on holiday.;)

I would be willing to pay premium to avoid seeing the stupid dog threads. How susy was found abandoned by her owner in cabarete, or this vira lata needs a home etc.

Doggy and sanky threads some people enjoy, if you have a problem with them, don't read them, simple!

The topic ends here, moving on...

How about telling me something we don't have that you would like to see???

Where are the avatars you promised?
Spice the place up a little... this board is too sterile.

I would pay to have our resident raconteur and backcracker blocked from the doggie threads. :D

And the ability to post pictures in chat. And to draw too in chat as Mr Hartley is very good with his coloured pencils in msn messenger.

Not going to happen, opens up a can of worms. People posting porn etc.

Nothing to stop you posting a link to a photo you personally have hosted or stored on another service or in our own media gallery.

Nah - avatars are tacky :(

One thing that would be good would be for the items in the daily news to link with the forums automatically so that people can comment; something on these lines may have been mentioned at some stage.

The more I read some posts on DR1, the more I love my dog.
