From Bahoruco 2009.
A lesson for us all... when there's not much to do on a cloudy day, be creative!

Oh OK.. Bowling. I've always wondered if bowling would work in the DR. When I was in the Pacific Islands, they had a bowling alley with 6 lanes and it was busy all the time. The big draw was that the place was air conditioned and here was a game that went well with drinking beer and could be played either in the day or night.

Oh my God, that's being creative!!! Necessity is the mother of all inventions, what baffles me is where they learned how to bowl, the only bowling centers in DR are one in Santo Domingo and another in Santiago, as far as I know...

I love Bahoruco and it's people and it's so sad sometimes to see these kids trying to have a normal childhood, when most of the time at age 4 they are already working to help support the family...
