Aha, am I that transparent ???

I'm used to flying from Newark or Philadelphia.

The flight distances are very similar... its the infastructure in Canada that drives up the price.

From my part of the world anything over $400 (which i will pay if forced) is high.
Usually it has a 3 in front of it.
The $400+ applies to our children, whose dates are divtated by their jobs.
Me - I hunt for the lowest day or week.

However, yes, I have been called cheap but there are other adjectives that are more apt, IMO ( not H )

As usual, the fare more than doubles when the taxes kick in.

In this case, since I will be on Lake Huron, I need to fly from YYZ.... or go thru DTW, connect in MIA.
Not a good option.

If I could swim it, I would :))

WW Thank you for the kind words and thoughts.

Buffalo

Just to try another avenue

JetBlue from BUF to JFK to SDQ is $524 for the same dates as my WestJet trip.

Not worth it from YYZ but better than the $900 MIA you mentioned

Keep it in mind ... another option

YYZ stinks

Hey guys, keep checking the westjet website for seat sales... you can fly return for under $400 taxes in every so often. Reason prices are a bit high right now is that ever since skyservice went under, westjet has picked up most of the passenger bookings and therefore westjet planes will be close to capacity for a while... that means prices will be a bit higher than usual... should level off by the fall.
