Ferry:Samana, Sabana de la Mar, times
It would take a huge amount of dock infrastructure.
The "ferry" is pretty bare bones.
I could afford this ship myself and it is in a good location for pickup. 2008 engine and overhauled last year.
Car Ferry
There's a spot on the Samana Malecon that looks tailor made for a ferry ramp.
However Sabana de la Mar would require a full build of a dock, say at the end of 27th de Febrero where it hits the ocean. I can't forget about needing several hundred thousand dollars to pay the government either. With the opening of the tourist blvd there will be demand for going between the two places.
I would need to hire a new Captain because of the larger size of the ship.
I think the current "bota" crew would abandon their ship for mine if I paid them better.

It would be a 1 hour crossing at the ship's speed of 12 knots, the distance is 10.93 knots. Seriously, if anyone knows any established maritime investors in the DR I would like them to contact me.
