This Gringo wants to fish!

Hi, I go with local fishermans in front of Sosua. I have tried also Puerto Plata, but it seems due to the harbour the fish doesn?t stay there. Baits you can find from LAs Sirenas (Local Walmart) in Puerto Plata.

I've not attempted to fish yet but hung out with the spear fisherman at the beach in Costambar. They're quite friendly and willing to give instructions to curious onlookers... they're hoping to sell some of their catch. The reefs are close enough to the shoreline to swim out to or kayak I did some exploring with the snorklers who were looking for conch shells and found myself a gold ring in the sand. :cheeky:
