Codetel 20 mbps download ....hmm hmm

So Codetel is now offering plan with 20 mbps download speed.

The plan is available only for businesses.

The price tag? RD$17.500 per month + 28% taxes.
Total: RD$22.400

20 mbps (upload 2 mbps): EUR13.90 (RD$ 680) taxes included
This is for their Start plan
Plan Premium, 70 mbps download (and 7 mbps upload): EUR39.50 (RD$1935) taxes included

UPC (internet via vable)
30 mbps (upload 3 mbps): EUR23 (RD$1125) taxes included, installation EUR1 (RD$50). Also, it's only EUR5 (RD$245) for the first 6 months.
120 mbps (upload 10 mbps): EUR40 (RD$1960) taxes included, with EUR1 installation, and it's only EUR5 (RD$245) for the first 6 months.

OK... I've vented... off to go to work on more productive things than Codetel/European Internet comparisons

My Higuey home line and office line doubled in speed, same price
(home 256-> 512, 695 + tax; office 512 - > 1 mbps, 895 + tax).
This is what the website says: Migrado Satisfactoriamente. Estimado cliente: desde ahora puede disfrutar de una mayor velocidad por el mismo precio en su Internet Flash.

Our Bavaro line has not yet doubled in speed this is what the website says:
Migraci?n en proceso. Estimado cliente: la velocidad de su Internet Flash ser? incrementada sin costo adicional. Por razones t?cnicas su fecha de cambio ser? a m?s tardar el 30 de noviembre de 2010.


So some clients (and corresponding CO central offices - usually whole areas, sectors or in some cases cities) have been migrated already, and some not.
