I'm curious to hear other people's experiences. How long does it take for a foreign national living here to go from zero to cedula? and at what cost?

keep answers short to help others viewing. ie:

1 month, 10,000 pesos to lawyer.

Gracias.

and asYou are living here without papaers in case your Immigrations status has to be clean/legal to be able to apprly for residency and cedula, so the costs to get it cleaned of course you have to add to the above ballparks

Yes all assuming that your immigration status is 'clean' ie. you do a quick visa run and leave the country and come back.

So now the obvious question -- has anyone successfully paid more to get things done faster? 3 months is a pain in the ass...

3 months for a Visa application in any Country is quick.
but anyways,
do a quick search here on the Legal Forum section of DR1,
there are faster Ways, Yes,
and our Bordlawyer fabio answered the questions to the requirements and procedures there,
and he answers such for Free of charge,
so don't force Him to do the same free job twice.
the search function here is a really helpful thingy.
