I'm in the information gathering stage of planning a mission trip to SPM. (clothing, food, baseball equipment & school supplies) I did a short trip there in 2006 & stayed at the HoJo's in SPM & then did one in 2007 and stayed at an apartamento in JD.
I'd like to plan another week long trip for next year fall/winter and prefer to stay in SPM again because the evening transportation back to JD from SPM became a hassle. (especially if we decided to take in an Estrellas game or stop at malecon after we did our distributions)
We will have 5+ people in our group and are looking for reasonable accommodations but don't need anything fancy. If need be we will stay at Hotel Escuela Macorix (the former Howard Johnson) but would prefer to spend less to be able to donate more.
Can anyone offer any suggestions of who I can contact or a less expensive SPM hotel?
