I called Trans Express, and asked how much would it cost to send a letter to the US, I thought it'd be about 100 pesos, the guy told me the most economical would cost 1430 pesos, which is retarded in so many ways, how can I go about sending this letter without paying almost $50?

Business Mail will cost you around RD250 if I remember correcltly and they use the USPS. Transexpress uses Fedex or UPS I believe.

And where in Santiago is Business mail, and could I get a money order there as well?

It's close to the immigration office on 27 and what used to be Ave Texas. I don't have the address but they are in the phone book. I don't know about money orders.

1) Business Mail is a members group. It costs to join.
2) It is located on Calle 7 off of Ave Texas. (Depending on where you are coming from this is the first street in from 27 de Febrero or the last on before 27 de Febrero.
3) Calle 7 is One Way, so you have to go around the block...
Confusing? Send me a PM and I'll explain it better.
