We will be a group of about 10 guys, and have heard that the DR is a great place to go for a Bachelor Party.

I'll just state this plain and simple, we are looking for 100% debauchery. We want to be in a hotel/area with other people in our age range (25-28), lose to ample night life, beaches, and yes Gentleman's Clubs. I'm sure a few of the group will even possibly employ some "professional" services.

What is the best area to stay in where we can optimize our bachelor party experience?

I have heard it is a bad idea to go the all inclusive route because they don't typically allow guests into their complexes. Also, we want to experience the culture and eat the local fare.

The only place my research has turned up thus far is "Blue Paradise". How is that place, and what are the other spots we should consider. Your help is greatly appreciated!

After googling more on "Blue Paradise" I see that it's some kind of "Adult Exotic Resort". Not safe for work site I assume so I can't click on it now, but that kind of thing might be to racy for even us. Opinions?

You're too late Dude. All the chicas have been shipped off of the island.

Try the New Garden Hotel. Might still be some left-over debauchery there.

Here would be my tentative plan

you gotta start planning now to make sure these places are availlable

Rent 3 SUVs. You will need room for your friends and all the girls,

Daytime
hit the beach. Get some sun, eat some food, get some drinks. I actually like playa sosua. I heard the errosion has been bad this season. Cabarette beach is cool too.

Hit the main strip. You can miss it when you get there. Hit the bars, flirt with waitresses, have a few beers, recruit some girls to go back to the pool

Get a Villa... Villa's have great security. They all have pools, and grills. get some food to cook, bring the new female friends you met over. They will cook and party hard with you at the pool.

Send them home early and catch a nap before hitting the strip again.

At night.
Hit the strip. There are lots of bars and clubs there.
do passions one night. talk to the owner and let him know its a bachelor party and with 10 guys/customers im sure he will make something happen.

hit the casino's and night clubs puerto plata one night.

food
Try all the chicken stands on the road. The beaches are full of places to eat.

to be honest in order to avoid chaos and anxiety make it simple. Stay in sosua dont worry about venturing off to party in puerto plata or cabarette. it is hard to organize 10 guys and probably 15+ chicas at a time.

how lacking in esteem and confidence must you be to actually plan and anticipate having to BUY some tail on vacation...especially on a bachelor vacation??

Paul, is that you?
Now there's no way I'm going to let you marry my neice.
I told my sister you were not good enough for her daughter.

wow, 10 guys ? that means all the chicas have to do is look out for 10 pairs of khaki shorts walking around. the professionals can meet you at the airport if you like.
seriously, Le Passions would be a great place for a party.
Casa Linda and Hispaniola Residencial are two villa locations you might be interested in.

You should see the party the girls are planning. I'd rather go to that one. ;)

to buy some tail for bachelor party seems quite normal to me, but your need to ostracize people on an anonymous message board says a lot about YOUR self esteem and confidence.

Esteem and confidence have nothing to do with it.

Think of it as:

Hiring a limousine to pick them up at the airport, transport them from door-to-door within their vacation destination and drop them off when it's time to leave.

versus

Waiting for a taxi which may or may not arrive, may or may not be on time and may or may not provide a decent service because the driver may or may not be able to effectively communicate with the client and may or may not be a crook.

Put it in it's proper context. Nobody goes to a batchelor party to find "romance". The boys just want to let off a little steam before settling into a lifelong commitment for the lucky groom. What part of that tradition is so difficult to fathom and WTF does it have to do with either "esteem" or "confidence"?

Who said anything about looking for romance?

Maybe it's a european thing, but the culture this side of the world, and a big part of the fun of a lads/bachelor night out, is the challenge of trying to 'pull' a girl with personality, charm, wit and a small amount of chat... not just uttering the words "how much?"

On this side of the World a batchelor party isn't about charm and/ or wit. There's enough time for that after the wedding. This is the celebration of all the hedonistic pleasures that the groom will be leaving behind and getting him so drunk that he'll require help (which is why the best man is standing next to him throughout the ceremony) to get through the thing without embarrassing himself and his bride, giving her and her family ammunition to put him through a lifetime of humiliation and ridicule.

Furthermore, I don't care how personable, charming or witty you or your "lads" with all your sophisticated chat may think that you are, there's no way you're going to get a naked Woman inside a cake, let alone back out of it without asking "How Much?".

Thats what we spent our lives doing before we get married. Why would we wanna do this the night before you get married. What kind of celebration is doing the same thing that you have been doing all your life? Especially if you don't score.....lmao.

Why not rock hard and go out with a blaze of glory!

(picturing some lame bachelor parties on the other side of the pond right now)

You always have to pay for the tail one way or another! At least the girls in Sosua can't divorce him, take $450 USD a week in child support for kids he will hardly ever see, take half his pension, and own the home HE bought. In the end he will probably end up thinking he is in the DR because he is living in a ghetto apt. on a street where English is the second language! Eventually he will learn that ALL women are sisters, but it's cheaper to pay by the night and send them home in the morning. Have fun fellas, and remember, from the streets of Sosua to the streets of Anytown USA, they are all the same but the tail back home will cost you a whol lot more!!!
