We will be in the Punta Cana area on Feb 22-24 (then off to Samana for 7 days!) We would like stay at a resort that has a casino with a good poker room with Hold 'Em tables. Any suggestions?
can you recommend a decent place to stay around there that is on the beach but doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Up to $100/night, does NOT have to be AI, hopefully within walking distance or short guagua ride to casino.

I only know that in the Hard Rock Casino there are hold'em games every night. Mostly $1 and $2 blinds, sometimes higher. All are no limit. They also have tournaments on Wed. and Sat. I think the buy in is about $100 US.
The Casino and Sportsbook there is open to the public. You do not have to be a guest in the hotel to enter.
