Kiteboarding for Kids is a fundraising competition to benefit kids in Dominican Republic. With this event we raise money to give to charities working with kids in the Cabarete area. Hence the name: Kiteboarding 4 'Kids". However, the event is open to Men, Women, and Juniors (age 14 and under) and Pros.
The 2011 event will be held from March 10 - March 13 here in Cabarete. The competition event site is directly in front of Laurel Eastman Kiteboarding (LEK). Everyone is welcome to join the fun evening events where we will be having all kinds of cool entertainment, as well as fun raffles and auctions.
Remember, we are working together towards the goal of raising $25,000 USD to give away to local charities helping disadvantaged children here in Cabarete.
It should be a good time.

Kiteboarding 4 Kids 2011 schedule and event info

We are incredibly excited for the 3rd annual Kiteboarding 4 Kids event - and Bob thank you so much for letting the Trip Advisor community know about it!

There is quite a fun series of events planned for that weekend, it should be a great activity for all the visitors of Cabarete to check out.

Thursday the 10th is a registration 'party' at CNS (Club Natalie Simon) - next to Villa Taina. Pass by to meet the riders and to see great slideshows and videos of the past 2 years events.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday are competition days! From 11:30 to either sunset or when the wind stops there will be exciting kiteboarding action on the beach in front of LEK/Millennium Resort/Ocean Dream. With categories for Juniors 14 and under, Women, Men, and Pros it should be quite the show! Come down any day to enjoy spectacular kiteboarding!

Friday night we will be at the newest club in town - Ojo - with a popcorn and ice cream party for our riders and an awe inspiring circus performance from Kaicetios Circus School in Cabarete.

Saturday night is our Gala Event at Nikki Beach, with hotshot DJs from Madison, Wisconsin - Dirty Disco Kidz - so dancing all night!

Sunday directly after the competition we will have the prize giving at Millennium Resort. We invite the charities we support to come and receive their checks, its a great opportunity to meet many of the people doing community work in Cabarete all in one place and learn more about their projects.

All through the event there will be neat prizes to win - raffles and auctions.
