- This place is situated in the province of Monte Plata, its geographical coordinates are 18? 57' 0" North, 69? 46' 0" West and its full name is El Hoyo de Puta. It's about 5 miles east of the National Park Los Haitises and a few miles south of Sabana del Mar on the south of Bahia de Samana.
Must be a good reason for the name but I don't know why it's called that. Try a Google.....
