Isn't it time for Haitians to handle a couple of ex-dictators back from exile?
Both Jean-Claude and Titid should be able to enjoy their Barbancourt on a terrasse in P?tionville without making it sound like such a big deal...

"They are announcing on the radio here that the gas stations are going to
close this afternoon and
may not open until Monday. They are worried about violent demonstrations
when JBA returns,as
the first thing they always do is wreck the gas stations. Plus it limits the
chance of buying gas to
burn more tires!

They are now announcing that he will be back this afternoon, and not at
9.30am as previously
stated."

I think the problem is not his coming back per se, but the timing of it. He is a polarizing figure and Haiti needs calm as they continue the recovery and with elections around the corner.

Aristide is now back in Haiti. He was received by a much smaller crowd than expected. And, of course, he spoke out against the election process, since his party was excluded for it.

More to come.

What's wrong with being a polarizing figure? Sarah Palin is a polarizing figure. Same with Newt Gingrich. The guy was actually elected fair and square, weather we like it or not.

His party was excluded from the elections, what is MINSTUH afraid of? Duvalier came back to dip his toes in the pool, and how many people did he kill and assasinate vs. arristide?
