My experience was at La Sirena on Winston Churchill, took 5 mins.

They have a renewal station on the 2nd floor.

Take your old licence and Cedula. You fill out a form, they take a photo, depending on the amont of people, they give you back a new license.
Go in the afternoon, usually only a few people, so it's quick.

Robert, any idea if they will renew a VERY expired license? My husband has his old DR license - it's from the mid 70's [alright, stop laughing!!] and wonders if he has to take a whole new test.

Anyone know??

And also you need to pay the tax of renewal at the Banco the Reservas. located in the same place. Then , you go with your receipt, old license and cedula
