Im really concerned about this, because this morning i was walking to el Nacional and i saw this poor Owl or Lechuza tied up to a trash can... im not sure if it might belong to some of the guys who clean windshields or whom, but i know for sure it should be free, anyone has the phone number for MEDIO AMBIENTE...

yeah right...where do you think you are? have you passed thru Moca by the main highway? they have been selling parrots their for over 30 years...and NOTHING is done, your best bet was for you to take it and setting it FREE

If they aren't selling him then I see no reason they would have it there, they would have eaten it by now if it was not of worth to them. Try offering a few pesos for him. The chances are its wings will be broken by now so if you get it what you gunna do. I got given a hawk some time ago, I called the zoo I called the vets and no one was interested at all, I ended up killing it in the end to put it out of its misery, no life sitting in a box in my kitchen and I don't find birds make very good pets.
There used to be kids selling owls on the Monument in Santiago.

Well, owls ARE predators...and KFC DOES have meat...Is that KFC as in "Kentucky Fried Chicken"??? Are you saying that a "bird" (owl) was found in front of a place that sells "birds" to eat??? Please say it ain't so!!!
