Mirage and BoraBora had been recommended here as the best cabanas in Santiago.
I just checked out both and found them lacking:
the 'presidential' in the Mirage was very unattractive, bad design, dark, bad smell etc.
the 'presidential' and 'executive' ones of BoraBora featured a crazy light system on a 5 min. timer, bad smell, insufficient lighting, and the food was a rip off: a bowl of soso fish soup for 400 DP.
all had extravagant 'love seats' (I suppose for correspondingly extravagant lovemaking), for which, alas, I had no use.
however, neither had what I am most interested in, namely large mirrors surrounding/above the bed.
do we have a real expert on this site who could tell me if there is indeed a really outstanding modern cabana in Santiago similar to the ones available in SD?
many thanks.

The only mirrors That I have seen over beds carry a small inscription...

"Caution, objects in mirror are closer than appear"

Eclipse has mirrors all over the place, they are far from the best in santiago however.

thanks Diesel1 - so what is the best one then?
is Eclipse on the north side of Santiago, i.e. on the Hwy towards Navarrete?
is it (reasonably) clean?
'mirrors all over' = also on the ceiling?

BORA-BORA on the Santo Domingo bound Duarte-Hwy has a cabana called "Studio". The bed is in the mezzanine and bellow there is a dancing pole and some 50's style couches. I SEEM to remember that there is a large mirror next to the dancin' pole.

BORA-BORA has a couple of "exotic" suites anyways... so you might want to ask.
