direct flight from Guatemala to Punta Cana?

Hi there, a friend of mine will be working in guatemala city for some months and wants to visit me some weekends at Punta Cana. Wondering if there are direct flights to PC. I have been searching in travel websites but any option they give me is not direct. Most of flights connecting to Miami or so ...
Any clue?

No direct flights - last year I flew to Guatemala City on AA via Miami. Copa via Panama is the only other option.

Your cheapest option is probably to buy 2 seperate flights on the same day from spirit airlines.

Guatamala city to Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale to Punta Cana

This does necessitate a layover in America and clearance of us customs so your friend needs appropriate paperwork etc.

But if you plan well in advance and travel light, it can be relatively cheap (as in 9$ flights some times).
