Yeah, word on the street is that he can't perform and so she is calling him out. Typical "droid" withdrawal...he is paying the price for all that crap he injected....

You know that some world class athletes were once asked if they would take a pill that would be untraceable, and enhance their performance to Olympic champion status, BUT it would take years off their lives. The overwhelming answer was "Heck yes, I'd take it!"

Maybe anecdotal, but there is a huge drive to succeed and they will do anything to get there.

What a disappointment and shame. When my son was a boy he idolized Manny, followed him from high school to the majors.

Hard to see your idols crash and burn.

Let's see, retired baseball player with over $200MM on the bank in his 40's and not set to make more money anymore. Time to break the bank!!! DV Cases are perfect to secure a really lopsided divorce...

Let me guess where this is going-

1) Washed-up, disgraced ex-athlete with limited options for a post-career job walking around the house with nothing better to do.

2) Alleged sexual/emotional issues due to long-time steroid use.

3) Trophy wife who no longer has any use for said ex-athlete husband and cannot stand having him around the house.

4) Domestic abuse call which will eventually lead to ex-athlete being taken to the cleaners in divorce court.

Gee, where have I seen this before? :disappoin:disappoin:disappoin

Still doesn't excuse physical violence of any sort.

Slap your wife, is that a bad thing?

It's a 'hanging offense' in the USA. Hell, if a wife wants a weekend out on the town at her hubby's expense just dial 911, scream and hang up then slap herself while her hubby sleeps on the couch or in the 'big chair'. He'll wake up in handcuffs and she'll have the house, cars and his money all to herself for the weekend.

Party on!

If she wants to extend the party she can execute a restraining order (at no cost to her) and have a ball in his house, driving his cars, spending his money until the trial (30-60 days later) and he can't do a thing about it. As a matter of fact if he even calls, texts or comes within 1,000' of her it's back to jail for him while she and whomever are whooping it up at his expense. Drinks 'on her' (think Cuervo 'belly-shots'). Then by the time the trial date comes up he'll crawl and beg her to drop the charges because he's presumed guilty until proven innocent.

In the USA it's almost against the law to be a Man....unless you're gay, not that there's anything wrong with that. Macho isn't currently trending here.

The story doesn't give enough detail. It sounds like they were in bed, (? who slaps their wife in bed unless she asks him to?), he was dogging it and got a little too happy when he popped her on the yams, making her hit her head on the headboard. He wasn't in trouble until he busted out laughing at her. He should've finished what he'd started, then they could have laughed about it together.

BTW...IMO, Manny only retired to avoid the 100 game mandatory substance abuse suspension. That would've stopped him from getting paid.
