Francisco Nunez, a second generation Dominican, founder of the Young People's Chorus of New York City has just won a US$500,000 Genius Grant from MacArthur Foundation. He can use the money as he feels free to do so, but says he will add another 1,000 singers to his choral group. Nunez's vision has brought young voices from the inner-city to elite schools to sing new music of the highest quality.
