Hello, Our dog Samana just had puppies. They are half rescued Dominican street dog Samana and half Belgian Malinois. We go to the Vet Pet Point. It seems fairly good, although they have made a few mistakes. Is there a better vet in Santiago??

Absolutely.

Mundo Animal on Febrero 27th across the street from the big public hospital.

Dr. Grullon is a very experienced vet with a fine clinic. He just did a First World job spaying my Jack Russel mix as good as it gets, fixed a badly infected toe bone that required amputation (botched by another vet), and properly diagnosed a skin fungus on another dog that eluded other vets.

Highly recommended. The referral cam to me from Dr1's venerable Hillbilly

Dra Giselle Santos of Hacienda Hurbana.

As breeders and trainers ourselves of dogs we have the out most confidence in her skills and I am very picky when it comes to vet care for my dogs.

I have used Dr. Giselle and while she is obviously a very nice person and cares for animals I question her abilities. For one she recommends cutting the dog's nails much too short and other vet's here have told me the same. Another DR1'er had their dog lose a toe because Dr. Giselle cut the nail too short and subsequently got infected which then spread to the bone which then had to be removed completely.

Cobra:
What happened to Toby?
A vet cut his toe nails way, way past the quick, 4 got badly infected (he weighs around 135 lbs, so his feet take on a lot of weight), and one got the bone so infected he had to have the toe amputated...by another vet.

He's fine now. And easier to pick out in a police line-up. How many 3-toed Great Danes have you seen? :classic:

Dr. Grullon is a very competent vet in Santiago.
