If you are staying longer than 30 days in the DR - what is the surcharge fee? I heard that there was a "pay scale" that immigration used? We will be there for 42 days.

Also, I have heard various versions that if you buy a one way ticket - you are told to buy a return ticket as soon as you arrive or they will not let you enter the country. I have read the various threads for the US and other countries but have not seen anything about Canada. We have never been asked about this on all of our trips and were hoping that someone had experience with this. When booking the one way ticket with Westjet - we were not asked at all about our return. We have travelled stand by for many years and have not had issues. Is this something that is generally done in the US etc?

Thanks so much!

I get the same error message. Is there a website (current for 2011/2012) that I can go to view it?
