My husband has been in the UK for 3 years in February 2012 and now has his permanent residency here (Indefinite Leave to Remain), although not yet his citizenship.

We would like his daughter to come and visit us in the UK next July for around 6 weeks and for his Mother to travel with her.

We both work, have a property which we rent out and a property we live in and have documents to prove our income and are able to support them both fully on the trip.

My mother-in-law only works around 10 hours a week but has two small homes in the Dominican, one which she lives in and the other is rented out. We have a letter signed by the childs mother which was prepared by a solicitor giving permission for the child to travel to the UK with the mother in law and to be able to stay with us.

Does anyone have any experience in applying for a family visitors visa to the UK, I would really appreciate any feedback or useful info on what we could also include in the visa application.

Many Thanks
