I'm vacactioning to DR with a group of 8-9 guys. We've settled on Santo Domingo or Sosua. I've read good things about vacationing to Sosua from its proximity to the airport, casino(s), daily and nightly activities. Any suggestions regarding villas (trying to avoid hotels, etc.)? Nightlife?

Traveling to Sosua with 8
Go to Sosua. More friendly, more managable and much safer. Its a small town so you cannot get lost and has a great beach. If you like outdoor water sports then the Kite Surf Capital of the world (Cabarete) is only 15 minutes by taxi. I guarantee you will have a great time in Sosua and the girl friendly night life is incomparable. Airport is only ten minutes from town - $20 in a taxi.

Since there are 8-9 of you, two 4 bedroom villas sounds like the choice. Check out Villa Altima which is really nice.
Also, you can have car rentals on arrival.

For villas try Residential Hispanolia, which is a very good gated community and close to everything.....
I've heard they don't like chicas in High Heels walking back and forth to the villas. I think they're worried about damage to the asphalt. :cheeky:

Sosua is awesome if you like good night life and the girls. They're everywhere. It depends on how much money you want to spend on your trip, Casa Linda is very expensive (in my opinion).
