Golf in Puerto Plata

Just wondering if anyone has played there. The Playa Dorada course should be close by (we're staying at the Flamenco), But are there other courses on the island worth playing? Is it expensive? Is it hard to book tee-off times? Any insight would be tremendously helpful. Thanks.

The two leading Puerto Plata golf courses are, the one you will be staying next to, Playa Dorada, and the Playa Grande. The Playa Grande golf course is about an hour and a half away, but it is gorgeous. It would be a good idea to rent a car to get there, but then you could spend time at the beach. Also have an early dinner at Pueblito Principe, before heading back. The next day you could use your car to visit Sosua and Cabarete, that you will pass on the way.

The golf courses are as follows. When you arrive, double check on the green fees, as the content was updated in fall of last year.
