Capella Beach Resort

Has anyone been to the Capella Beach Resort? What was your experience? How are the accomodations? How are they in response to requests in regards to rooms? Is there a mosquito problem. I am going there this Sunday (31st) with my husband for a much needed vacation. I'd appreciate any tips you can give me. Thanks.

This is a lovely resort for couples. Please check the message board archives (am sure there are many comments listed), and see if there is a review on the Resort Database.

The hotel changed owners and is now owned by Barcel? hotels, that also own the Bavaro Palace, Bavaro Golf, Bavaro Casino, etc. in the East (Punta Cana coastline). If you don't get an answer contact Alvaro Lopez de Haro at a_lopezdeharo@hotmail.com

Hi Maggie !

We're heading down to the Capella on March 13th. Hope that you have a wonderful trip. I'll be selfish here and ask if you could post something on the board when you get back to let me know how it was. I'd appreciate it.

FYI : I e-mailed Mr. Lopez as DR1 recommended but he works at another Barcelo hotel. He had offered to forward my message to the Capella (and I agreed) but as of yet I haven't had a response. Good Luck!

Hi Norman,I will definitly post a message when I return. I called the 800 reservation number and finally got an answer, but have not received any confirmation from any of the email that I have sent. If I here anything else, I will post it.

The hotel has not received some of your e-mails, but the ones we have we are trying to answer them asap.

You can also find information about the Capella in the Barcelo Hotels website www.barcelo.com
