car title

It's a long story but the bottom line is that I have 'lost' the title paperwork to my car which is parked in my garage in Cabarete. I don't live in the DR. My question is - does anyone know how I go about generating a new car title?

Do you have a copy of the originals? Sales Contract, Matricula..(I hope)

When you had your sales contract made, the lawyer/notary should have a copy. If it was transfered into your name, the licence plate should come up in the system. Get a lawyer, he shoukd be able to sort everything for you. Good Luck.
