Does anyone know if The Book Nook used book store is still open? It was in the little strip mall behind Checkpoint and run by a Canadian woman. Thanks for any help anyone may be able to provide

Thank you so much. My husband had a kindle and we are coming for three weeks and it would be really good for me if she is still there, as I will read a dozen or more books in three weeks!! Too much weight to pack
If you are in the Puerto Plata area -- on maybe one of your trips to La Sirena (the big supermarket0 -- you should check out the bookstore in The meeting Place. Saw ads that from jan 2 though 5 there was a big half off and more (many for 25 pesos)book sale as they get ready for new stock. The Meeting Place is a non-profit volunteer-run cultural center with English boos and I think some German and French. When I was ther earlier there was a really interesting exhibition of historic Puerto Plata with descriptions in English and Spanish. The tel number is 809 261 7393, and the Canadian "founders' speak English and French and are quite helpful for advice on books and info on the area 9i found a really useful -- at last1 -- up-to-date map there.
