Latin Jazz/Percussion Live in SD?

Hi there,

I'm a music lover and DJ visiting from Canada and want to check out some good
live latin/Dominican music while here in SD for the next 5 days.

Can anyone recommend spots or areas I can go catch this? I'm based in the colonial
zone but will go any where in the city that isn't too far of course to find some good music
and sip on a few cold ones?

Any recommendations?

Sunday afternoons in the colonial zone, at the ruinas de san francisco, Grupo Bonye and a bunch of guestas play cuban music, son, boleros, a bit of salsa etc. Normally have a guy on timbales, a guy on congas, maybe tambora and all the singers playing clave, maracas etc.

I have not been in months but I used to go every sunday!
