Hi there everyone,

My husband has just moved to the UK (Surrey) from the Dominican Republic. It would be great for him to meet some Dominicans in the London/Surrey area if there are any out there?!

Thanks for reading the post

"Unsolicited Advice".
Let him learn to live in the "UK" for a while. You didn't bring him there to be "Just Like Here",only cold and wet.
You could loose him into the "Dominican Expat Community" there.
This is the time for you and he to "BOND".
Let him assimilate into your culture.
Let him get to know your family and friends first, only then,if HE feels the need, look for some "Roots",seek out the "Dominican Community",

I agree with criss.
it took a longtime for my husband to assimilate in england and it was really hard.
i honestly dont think is a good idea to mix with the dominican community now.

Any reason why not? Funny really as the first thing most expats do when they get here is try and find people from their own country. I wonder why Dominicans can't do the same in the UK. Just interested really.
