The organization of cattle farmers of Montellano (La Asociaci?n de Montellano the Ganaderos) has written a letter to all the members.
In the letter, the farmers are called upon that their cows, goats and horses are no longer permitted to graze in the cane fields. From 2 March, when cows, goats and horses are found in the sugarcane fields they will be 'arrested'. Because the fields laid fallow for seven years the farmers have made a virtue of necessity. The animals have grazed the lush greenery that grew between the sugar cane. But now the new tenant wants to prepare the fields for the sugar cane harvest of next year.
