New to this site.
Try to find our if anyone has experience with this internet/tv provider. They claim to have cable optic service in the area, including guayacanes. Will be in guaycanes mid/end may and
would like to get their services. Any info is appreciated.

Use them in Juan Dolio for internet only. 1/2 mbs speed for 1520 pesos per month. Speed is slow but is ok for email and SKYPE. Its coax cable into the house but when I go and pay at their office in Juan Dolio I see that they have a fiber optic patch pannel so must have a fiber route Juan Dolio-Boca Chica. You can get faster service but cost more. Be careful they may want a contract ( I think 1 year )

@egonvw: Fiber optics means that they have fiber lines connected in between their nodes. It does not mean that it's fiber to your home. In the DR there is only ONE provider that started a pilot FTH program LAST MONTH and it's in the richest area of Santo Domingo (business and commercial wise), and that provider is CLARO.
