The beach is gorgeous! It is the prettiest in Sosua, I believe. It is virtually private, with access only from Infiniti Blu, Hispaniola Beach, or along the shore (when the water is out) from the Sosua By the Sea direction.

The 3 rocks are off shore, so you are able to snorkel right off the beach. The views are spectacular. The water is crystal clear quite far out.....you can see right to the bottom.

No vendors.

And most days- except maybe Sunday- you share the beach with only another person or two.

Doesn't get any better than that!

Walking distance for everything. Many who rent here do not have cars. They can walk everywhere. The water within the development is treated, tested monthly, and at that point, 99% pure. However, since a gardener could break a buried pipe with one chop of the machete, the water is not guaranteed. Most people here drink the bottle water. However, the management seems to have a good system to help residents deal with that. There are large water bottles available on site. All you need to do is put your empty bottle outside your door. Notify management, and a new bottle of water is delivered to your unit.

Some (a few- including my apartment) also have an additional UV system under my kitchen sink. Thus, in the kitchen, the water is drinkable right from the tap.

The website very accurately describes the complex and the pics are representative.

plus: its a pretty nice place, everything works well, service is good.
minus: overpriced imo, feels very insular, bit distant (and "walking" distance is a stretch - you need to like walking)

Walking is 4 or 5 blocks. If you go out for a night on the town and head back late, maybe you will feel the walk. However, do know that many who live here walk to restaurants and Playero daily. A Dominican grocery is right across the street, as is Bologna and a handful of other restaurants. Plus, the development is close to opening the front, with two restaurants on site planned.

So, no, you are not right in the middle of all the activity. You are on the close edge. If you see that as a minus, then consider a plus that you do not have all the noise, dangers, and riff raft that go along with being in the middle. It is all what you want from your stay, I guess.

What I didn't mention and what, ultimately, sold me in the end over all the other developments on the North Coast was the culture. No matter where you are from or how long you are staying, you will make friends here and feel welcome. I live alone. But I have made many friends from Europe to Canada to Russia and Eastern Europe, renters both short and long term and owners. It is a classy, friendly, welcoming place.

And the management is top notch.

Know that I was a home owner for 6 years prior to buying here. I searched all the North Coast before making a decision. I knew what to look for. And since buying, not one day has gone by that I regretted the move.

And, no, I do not sell real estate or work on a commission. I am just a satisfied resident.

Thanks for your honesty. It sounds exactly what I'm looking for. I hope to rent for a year or more so hopefully we run into each other so I can thank you in person.

Oh is there a gym near by?

I really like the idea of having water delivered!!!!!

Thanks Dave

Although I have never been there- maybe someone on the board can speak better on this- there is a gym on Pedro Clisante at the Sosua Bay Casino. I have friends who go there and they believe it is a great gym. Since it is at the far end of Pedro Clisante, it is a bit farther, if you are walking. But it is a doable walk....about 10 minutes.

There are several people here at Infiniti Blu who are renting for a year at a time. They are welcome and included just like the owners.

Please when you arrive, Dave, ask the office how to track me down and we can meet.

There is WIFI for everyone. It's not so good, as is the case for WIFI in any public place. I assume some people-renters or owners- are downloading movies and other things that take up all the bandwidth. Some owners, myself included, and long term renters choose to install our own WIFI connection to save the frustration.
