The call for proposals includes those originating from the DR. Among the types of projects eligible: biogas, biomass, biofuels, solar, wind, geothermal, hydropower, tidal power, energy efficiency, clean transport, waste-to-energy, or distributed and off-grid generation.

The Private Financing Advisory Network of the Climate Technology Initiative (CTI PFAN) has issued a call for proposals from Central America and the Caribbean for the first Clean Energy Financing Forum for Central America and the Caribbean (CEFF-CAC) Business Plan Competition slated to be held on 26 April 2013, in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
