I heard that the summer months is low season for tourisim in DR. Someone told me that if you visit Sosua during the summer months you do not a reservation. You just show up with cash tell them how long you want to stay and you will get a discounted rate (some hotel's more than others). Is there any truth to this? The savings doesn't seem to be that much maybe 5-10 dollars a night. On the other hand I would not want to risk not being able to get a room and would rather book ahead. The hotel's I have heard of that normally have occupancy are new garden, sea breeze, terra linda, casa cayena, and casa vallerio.
