Hello,

Can anyone suggest me where to look for best deal in tickets for Toronto? I was checking last week and the ticket was around 600 USD RT. But today it had shooted to 1100 USD in Delta. The best i could get is 850 that is very high,.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you all for your replies. Westjet also coming close to 900 USD. And they have flight only from Puntacana. It is not worth trying because I am in La Vega. I will check the AA

My wife uses the "price alert" feature in the Itravel2000 website. You can set it to advise you by email when prices go up or down within a few dollars. You just need to set your date or dates and destinations. We got Toronto to Samana $1000.00 tax inlcuded for both of us. So $500.00 each. She still gets the email alerts each morning and we did score the best deal.

I use Kayak to get a quick overview... then check the individual sites of the few carriers that kayak doesn't cover (some of the low price airlines)

Thats about what it is - $500 each way in the non-peak times.

I looked at JetBlue to NYC-Samana for December - one way was $169 on Dec 12.
Waiting until the next week jumped it to $400+. and it went higher the next week - $500 something.

West-jet as a flight from Samana to Toronto on august 24th at 300$. Check at POP airport, 1st floor West-jet office. Otherwise check with transat at Ave. Manolo Tavares justo no.1 Puerto-Plata (809-970 2121) they have return flight with Canjet and Southwings from POP to Toronto for 350$ one way.

you can book one way tickets through west jet.....I did this to come down this time. By buying 2 one way tickets saved about $300....this was in/out Toronto to Samana...POP was way higher. Price to come here July 21 was $197 taxes in and return Aug 4 is $203 taxes in.
I start looking as early as possible and when see a deal I grab it. Best deals are about 6-8 wks prior to flying. West Jet also has some specials that come out on Thursday usually 9 - 3. I haven't caught any of these deals yet....always at work....Book online best prices there.Hope this helps

Thanks again all of you for your replies. I am going to check all these options. Delta used to have decent fares. But 1115 is outrageous. As of now AA has the lowest of 650 RT. Looks good but too many transfer and lay over period. I am going to find with Travel agent to see for any deals. Thanks again.

It would be easier to know where you would be flying from and how flexible your days are. Westjet has different fares for different days and runs seat sales at varying times.

WestJet to Samana is just Saturdays this time of year - if I'm right.

westjet on 12/8/2012 is 521 is one way from PUJ and 645 one way on 14/7/2012. So I do not think it is worth it. Also they do not have any flight to POP till october

west jet flies into pop every friday....samana every sat.....those prices you see on their site change all the time....you have to check often or you'll pay a really high fare....I have never had to pay more than 600 return.....and that high price was at christmas...you have to plan in advance when you want to go and then keep checking the sites.....all fares have risen a lot in the past 2 yrs but I never pay those high costs.....keep looking. Unless you have to go asap check until you find a price you like....when you see it take it as the prices vary sometimes daily....and never look on the weekends as the prices are always higher....just my 2 cents...
