President (until tomorrow at 10 a.m.) Leonel Fernandez, vetoed and returned to the Chamber of Deputies the legislation on a Law for Salaries for the Dominican State.

His observations were strongly critical of what the legislators did to the original bill. )See DL English for story)

I can say that this is one good thing Leonel has done, even if it was his last one.

Maybe he felt bad for all that money he spent galavanting around the world.:)

I think what happened with Leonel, especially in his last term,is that he started to look outward from the country instead of keeping his vision inward. He had sugar plum fantasies dancing in his head about Leonel the great diplomat and problem solver for the region.
