[h=5]The spokesman for the agency for internal taxes (Direcci?n General de la Impuestos Internos, DG II) has announced that from 10 August to 11 November 2012 the new Marbete can be purchased. The Marbete is proof that the car owner has paid his taxes.[/h][h=5]The Marbete must be placed on the right side of the front windscreen of the vehicle. At the request for the Marbete a copy of the registration of the car (la matricula) should be handed over. In Sos?a you can purchase your Marbete at the 'La Banco Nacional', just opposite the police station and right next to the bike shop of Benny Katz. The good news is that for 2013 the taxes were not increased. Car owners of a vehicle of the year 2006 and older pay 1200 pesos. For owners of vehicles built in 2007 or later the costs are 2200 pesos. You can also purchase your Marbete through the Internet.
