Hi,

I wonder... if you're married and buy a house in DR (not as your first home but secondary), if you get divorce, what happens with the legal rights on the house? Is it 50% for each?

unless the prenup says otherwise it is 50/50.

I had to give 50% of all land properties acquired after marriage to my ex-wife (and willingly 100% of everything else!). I tried to negotiate at first, but my lawyers said not to bother, I would lose...
