My wife is a very successful CMA (Certified Management Accountant) currently working as a controller for a multi- million dollar company here in Canada after doing the same for a previous one as well. We were wondering if there would me many good job opportunities for someone with her skills?

I guess I wasn't clear enough for you. I was wondering what the opportunities were in the D.R. as we have a home there and are looking at possibly moving there full time.
It depends. She'd be competing with Dominicans with 'contacts'. Two of Mr. AE's brothers have advanced accounting degrees. One was head of intercambio department of Banco Central for years until he resigned to run his family business. He gave up a very well paying job. The other is Exec.VP/CFO of one of the big insurance companies in DR, he makes more than we do in NJ.
