How about the Bahamas, any ?

No. I couldn't find any DR airlines that fly to Bahamas, nor any Bahamian airlines that fly into DR. I presume that because of cabotage laws, an airline that is not DR nor Bahamian, cannot fly that route.

maybe just plain old economics. Air Jamaica used to fly Kingston- Santo Domingo, but it was not economically viable, and they cancelled the route.

I remember flying directly from Puerto Plata to Caracas. We were 9 people in a plane taking 120-130 pax... More staff than passengers. No, they are no longer flying that route...

Air Jamaica flew those small two engined things like American Eagle, and stiil could not make it viable.
