From today's Sosua News:

[h=5]Wednesday 26 September, in Sos?a supermarkets, pharmacies, colmados and other sales sites were visited by inspectors of the Department of Consumer Protection (departamento de Protecci?n al Consumidor). The inspectors checked the products in excess of the expiring date and soundness of the packing material. Although the majority of the examined products complied with the requirements of sustainability there were found some articles that were over their expiring date.[/h][h=5]The products were confiscated and will be destroyed.[/h]

They should check the products on Pedro Clisante, in and around El Flow. The last time I walked by I saw a lot of the same expired and tainted product.

In tghe Jumbo I was looking at the pavo rolls, a few were many months expired and the others had the dates mysteriously scratched off.... Very good to see an agency policing this.
